is a tiny village above the bay of  Rethymnon on the north coast of the island of Crete, just behind a row of hills.
The surroundings are most peaceful and suit perfectly for extended strolls through olive and orange tree groves to the neighbouring villages.
The coast and the village of Stavromenos with it's hotels, shops, bars, discotheques and watersport facilities are just 3 kms north-west of Viran Episkopi.
